Lucky 13 Adds Madison Rayne, Heidi Lee Morgan to LOTR XXI; Daffney to Big Event IX!

Hey now.

So I decided to pay a visit to Lucky 13’s website and discovered that Madison Rayne and Heidi Lee Morgan are scheduled to appear at LOTR XXI.

Morgan’s an interesting name because…well…she’s not exactly a well known name to casual wrestling fans. HOWEVER, she did receive a shout out from Medusa during her Hall of Fame speech. Intriguing addition.\

Prices have no been listed but stay tuned.

Also, former WCW and TNA star Daffney has been added to Lucky 13’s Big Event IX lineup!

Jushin “Thunder” Liger to Appear at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn!

Hey now.

Well…this is really unexpected news!

This is absolutely HUGE. Hell, I don’t remember the last time the WWE acknowledged a wrestler that’s never been in under contract for them. Their willingness to pluck an International icon for their developmental’s biggest show of the year is unprecedented.

The move is brilliant because the NXT roster is heavily depleted with the injuries of Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami. Liger is a huge name with instant credibility that’s going to be treated like absolute royalty by the Brooklyn crowd.

It looks like he’ll be facing Tyler Breeze, which should make for an excellent match.

This is a bit of a blow for Ring of Honor’s show, Field of Honor, that’s being held that very night. Still, ROH has superior Japanese talent scheduled for their card – including Shinsuke Nakamura. Plus, there’s rumblings that their working on changing the card to compete with Takeover. Maybe this is the move that makes that happen.

Alberto Del Rio Releases Short Statement Regarding Indie No-Show

Hey now.

The whole Alberto Del Rio situation is bizarre. For those of you living under a rock, Del Rio no showed a charity event for Autism awareness and, scarily enough, no one could get a hold of him. The promotions that brought in Del Rio released multiple statements voicing their displeasure and, to a much lesser extent, their concern for Del Rio’s well being.

Del Rio was feared missing…until someone from the AAA promotion said Del Rio was safe in his own home. Earlier today, Del Rio finally spoke of the controversy:

Sort of cryptic if you ask me. Everyone is still curious why he would no-show a charity event and I’m sure his Tweet won’t satisfy most people. Weird stuff.
