So earlier today, I announced that my year end review was incoming. Well, slight change of plans…
Today is Part 1 of my year end review! This post will cover the months of January – March. Here’s what else to expect:
- December 28th: April – June
- December 29th: July – September
- December 30th: October – December
- December 31st…
On December 31st – New Years Eve! – I will reveal my Top 10 Photo Ops and Top 10 Autographs of 2018. Deal?
Well let’s get to it…
January
The new year kicked off with a signing at the Collector’s Realm in Fishkill, New York. The Collector’s Realm is located inside the massive, indoor flea market called Dutchess Marketplace. The Dutchess Marketplace is worth a visit if you’re into thrifting.
The Dutchess Marketplace hosted former WCW superstar Glacier. I had missed out on Glacier during the previous Big Event and was very, very happy that Collector’s Realm managed to bring him in — and he couldn’t have been any nicer.
Highlights included: Glacier showing me a photo on his cellphone of Bill Goldberg hoisting him up for an airplane spin at a convention. He also took another photo with me with his mask off.

The next signing came on January 24th at the Wrestling Universe in Queens, New York, and it featured a very rare tag team: the Headhunters.
You may remember the Headhunters for their one-off appearance in the 1996 Royal Rumble or their appearances in ECW and FMW in Japan. I had purchased a book about Atsushi Onita off eBay and the seller included an old FMW program that featured the Headhunters — score!
Highlights included: Both appeared in facepaint and both loved the FMW program. They also signed a pair of FMW trading cards.

The month ended with my favorite event of the year: MAB’s Pinstripe Parade.
For those of you who don’t know, I am a diehard fan of the New York Yankees and MAB hosts a Yankees-centric convention in New Jersey every January. This particular show featured former Yankees Alex Rodriguez, Carlos Beltran, Hideki Matsui, Don Larsen, and others as well as current Yankees Tommy Kahnle, Gleyber Torres, Domingo German, and others.
Highlights included: Easily meeting A-Rod, Matsui, and Beltran. Also, observing the antics of grown (read: elderly) men acting like babies.

February
February kicked off and ended with another signing at the Wrestling Universe featuring Nation of Domination stablemates D’Lo Brown & Ron Simmons.
Highlights included: D’Lo ragging on Dolph Ziggler’s autograph! He apparently thought it was too sloppy.
