With Big Event XVI in the rearview mirror, it’s time to turn our attention towards the annual mecca of professional wrestling conventions: WrestleCon.
WrestleCon is a 2-Day wrestling convention that’s held annually during every WrestleMania weekend. Their website advertises over 200+ guests in attendance (!!!), making it by far the biggest pro wrestling convention to hit the East Coast in quite sometime.
A 2-Day wrestling convention with over 200 guests advertised is…a lot. A lot, a lot, A LOT and, if you’re like me, it can be a bit overwhelming for a first timer.
First and foremost, I advise all of you to follow their invaluable Twitter account. They’re fairly receptive to answering fan questions and will clarify a few grey areas. I realize that some of you may not be on social media (a good thing!) and, even if you are, it’s easy to miss out on a tweet that contains key info.
In Part 1 of the series, I’m aiming to provide a breakdown of WrestleCon: where is it, when is it, admission, and highlight important steps to take before the madness begins. Oh, and I’ll be sure to cover exclusive meet & greet opportunities. Let’s get to it.
The Basic Details of WrestleCon
When and where is it?
The home of WrestleCon 2019 will be theNew York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, NY. The specific address of this hotel is 1335 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019.
The WrestleCon convention will be held Friday, April 5 – Saturday, April 6, from *9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST.
Who’s going to be there?
Short answer: a lot of talent! And talent is STILL being announced for the show.
The best way to keep track of talent announcements is through their Detailed Talent List. This list included who’s scheduled to attend, what day they’re scheduled to attend, their times, prices, and any pre-ordering information. It’s constantly updated, so please be sure to constantly check it!
Admission
How much is admission, what does it guarantee me, and where can I purchase tickets?
There’s a few admission options with a couple of cool perks to pre-ordering:
Special 2-Day Admission ($69)
- Admittance to the convention on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- General admission to Friday morning US v the World
- General admission to Saturday morning Pancakes and Piledrivers 3
- Early checkin on Thursday from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
All of that for just $69 (before fees)? Sign me up. Early checkin on Thursday allows you to redeem your 2-Day Admission ticket a day before the start of the convention. That’s pretty damn cool.
WrestleCon is also offering single day admission tickets:
Friday Admission ($35)
- Admission to the convention on Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- General admission to Friday morning US v the World

Saturday Admission ($35):
- Admission to the convention on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Exclusive Meet & Greets?
Who, when, and where?!?!
There’s several wrestlers who will are participating in WrestleCon live events but will not be appearing during their convention. Luckily, there will be opportunities to meet them at pre/post show meet and greets. Let’s break it down:
Thursday Early Admission Checkin/WrestleCon Supershow Meet & Greet
WrestleCon will be hosting a meet & greet prior to their Thursday night Supershow and, thankfully, you do not need an admission ticket to their Supershow in order to participate in the meet and greet according to these tweets:
When is the meet and greet: The meet and greet – along with early checkin – is slated for 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. WrestleCon noted that most talent will not arrive any earlier than 5:00 PM, though, so keep that in mind.
Also, WrestleCon is also offering a pro photo op with Jushin Thunder Liger during this M&G.
Double also; they will move their meet & greet into the Supershow space after 6:00 PM, which means you WILL need a Supershow ticket if you wish to meet these stars after 6 pm:
Who will be at the Meet and Greet: WrestleCon announced that Bandido, Black Taurus, Cavernari, Dragon Lee, Jushin Thunder Liger and a few TBAs will participate in this meet and greet. This will be the only opportunity to meet most of these stars.

Friday’s US v the World
How do I get into this show: General Admission is included with a 2-Day or Friday WrestleCon admission tickets. You can also purchase a ticket to just this event (which will allow you access to Friday’s WrestleCon at 10:00 AM).
When is the meet and greet: I’m not sure if there’s an exact time but the show is slated for 11:00 AM, so I would imagine the pre-show meet and greet will start around 9 or 10 AM.
