The Big Event machine cannot be stopped – you can only hope to contain it. They’ve added three guests to their 11th lineup, two very significant: Adam Rose, Medusa, and “Dangerous” Danny Davis.

Rose was recently (and infamously) released from the WWE. He was super over in his NXT days but the Adam Rose “gimmick” never translated to a bigger audience. The PG element didn’t help his party boy persona either. Hell of a theme song, though.

Medusa is a WWE Hall of Famer (inducted as Alundra Blaze) and one of the more well known names in women’s wrestling. She will forever live in infamy for dumping the WWF Women’s title into a trash can live on WCW Monday Nitro.

Davis last appeared at Big Event IX – along with Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart. I wonder if this is a sign of another Hart Foundation reunion? Maybe, maybe not.

One Year Ago Today: Legends of the Ring XX

One year ago today, my lovely girlfriend & I traveled to the secluded Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, NJ, for our first Legends of the Ring.

It was quite the lineup. Shawn Michaels was the headliner, a significant portion of the (defunct) ECW roster were there, and Pat Patterson kept shouting “FIVE MINUTES!” every one or two minutes in the Superticket room (for some odd reason).

To commemorate my 1 year anniversary, here’s my recap of the show.

MVP Added to Big Event XI

K&S Wrestlefest, in conjunction with TMART Promotions, will be bringing a most valuable player to the Big Event XI: Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP).

MVP’s a really solid addition to the Big Event. I met him back in June of 2015 and he was really nice.

Maria Kanelis, The Patriot added to Big Event XI!

We have two new names to a growing Big Event XI lineup: Maria Kanellis (Sinners Signings) and The Patriot (K&S Wrestlefest).

Kanellis is currently with TNA Wrestling and the wife/manager of “The Miracle” Michael Bennett (perhaps he’ll make an appearance at the show?).

Del Wilkes, a.k.a. The Patriot, is an interesting and relatively fresh name (I don’t believe he’s done a Big Event in quite a while).

Some news regarding the upcoming Legends of the Ring fan fest on June 11th:

  • Davey Richards, who was scheduled to appear with beau Angelina Love & tag team partner Eddie Edwards, has cancelled. It’s unsurprising as Richards is notorious for canceling appearances. The great guys at Damage 365 Radio released the following statement on their site:

Former TNA Tag Team Champion one half of the Wolves Davey Richards has exited out of the #d365 FINE 9 tour this weekend of June 10-12 due to his work schedule. He will miss not only Legends of the Ring, he will miss WrestlePro from Keyport, NJ and Pro Wrestlers World from Allentown, PA. All pre-sale of Wolves combos will be honored in the form of another combo of one of our superstars or for a future show. All individual Richards pre-sales will be refunded.

Eddie Edwards & Angelina Love will be at Legends of the Ring and WrestlePro. Only Love will be at Pro Wrestlers World in Allentown.

  • Legends of the Ring have announced another great opportunity to meet the Hardys via their Facebook Page:

ATTENTION HARDYS FANS

due to popular demand we have opened up individual opportunities to meet them. Limited tickets are now on sale on our website. Please be advised you need a general admission ticket to the event BEFORE buying talent tickets!

  • They’ve also announced a limited amount of Supertickets are available:

As of this morning just 9 ga tickets remain for LOTR next week!!

If you purchased ANY talent tickets without General Admissions you must go back and purchase a general admission!

Holy Foley!

I went to Extreme Rules and made my way down to the floor right after the show went off the air. I immediately spotted Noelle Foley with Frank the Clown. I asked Noelle for a selfie and she immediately agreed:

I’m glad I was able to get a pic w/ Noelle before she gets more involved with the WWE.

Baron Von Raschke, Bad Company Coming to Big Event XI!

More guest news regarding Big Event XI:

Baron Von Raschke is being brought in by Greg Weiss Promotions. Von Raschke’s last major wrestling convention appearance was nearly a year ago at Legends of the Ring XX. Von Raschke is a great addition to a very “old school” lineup that’s been announced thus far. Greg Weiss Promotions is also bringing in Raven.

Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond, collectively known as Bad Company, are being brought in by K&S Wrestlefest. I’m personally stoked for their additions because, to my knowledge, it’s been quite some time since their last appearance.
